Janus Scharff-n-(uh, eat?) Chocolate Rampage

The Scharffen Berger chocolate factory in Berkeley, with absolutely no
consideration for those trying to keep their chocolate intake to a low
roar, offers the occasional opportunity for private tours of their
plant. And of course, while touring, absorbing the occasional
complimentary chocolate morsels.

Any foolhardy souls who dare risk such an activity are welcome to join
this tour. Perhaps we'll share tips on how chocolate does or does not
fit into scening. We'll begin by an optional meeting for coffee and
other café offerings next door to the factory (Café Cacao), from 12:15
- 1:15, for a social hour. Then we'll meet stragglers inside the
factory at the door to the gift shop at 1:15. The tour itself takes an hour
or so. After, we'll most likely all adjourn to an optional meal
after, either at the café or the nearby shopping district at Berkeley's
Fourth Street.

We'll be in our own private group tour (although fetish/dungeon wear
should probably be kept to a low roar, especially since black clothes are
hard to scoop out of deep chocolate vats in case of falls!), and
numbers are limited to 40, so reservations are needed. To reserve, please
email: social@soj.org. Janus members $2 per person or $5 per family
(up to 4); non-members may pay Janus level but are encouraged to pay $4
per person; $10 per family. All tour members must wear closed toe
shoes, and be at least ten years of age. Any minor children must be
accompanied by a guardian, and that guardian must be comfortable with the
child being around conversations that might occasionally drift into adult
subjects.

The Cafe and Factory are located at 914 Heinz Ave in Berkeley, CA.
